The Wharton Club of Africa & Wharton Club of Beijing Joint Event       April 22, 2013

The Wharton Club of Africa (WCA) is a professional business organisation established in Sept. 2009, independent of, but recognised by The Wharton School, as the official global Wharton Alumni association for all Wharton alumni (globally and across the Africa Continent) and current Wharton MBA students, who have business interests with respect to the Africa Continent. A primary goal of WCA is to facilitate the Africa-related business interests of its members with other WCA members; and between firms/professionals and WCA members. Members are currently over 1,100, with 45% based in Africa and growing base of members out of Asia. Leadership team consists of a global board, sector chairs for 9 sectors (private equity, wealth management, energy & natural resources, healthcare, infrastructure incl. power, technology & media, agribusiness, real estate, legal services), and WCA Africa Country Director structure, approved April 2011. Structure includes 45 countries in Africa, Middle East, Asia, Australia, UK, Europe, Russia, North America, and Brazil.
